Can a positive mental attitude really make a difference?

I find myself to be a happy person most of the time. I'm not turning a blind eye to everything that's bad in the world, but I find it more constructive in my everyday life to be positive. Being happy is definitely a choice. If you aren't happy with yourself, something or circumstance in life, do something about it! There are always going to be improvements one can make for themselves - that never changes. However I feel beating yourself up over a perceived failure, shortcoming or situation is unnecessary. Don't wallow in your negativity!

Today I was told to combat daily challenges by celebrating the small things that are often over looked. Even if it was something as simple as showing up for work on time or having one amazing interaction with a client (despite multiple difficult interactions), I should pat myself on the back and focus on that small piece of positivity. The little things add up!

Another conversation I had was about energy. I kind of believe we are all set to a similar frequency that we all feed off of. Like today it seemed the vast majority of people had the exact same reaction to me, as if they were a flock of birds, carrying along in the same fashion. It was slightly peculiar. Was it my energy? Somehow karma loosely translates to: what we send out, we get back. I'm not sure if I can apply that here, but I really did start thinking about goals/dreams, positive mental attitudes, energies interacting and how it all relates. Eh, random thoughts...

Little happy things from today:
1. Caught a breath of fresh air, feel re-motivated
2. Got to dance til I was dripping with sweat, felt alive
3. Obtained inspiration from someone dear to my heart
